The Rugby Club
is easily the most active and enjoyable club at London Business School.
Don't worry if you've never played before - we are always on the lookout
for talent. Several of last seasons stalwarts were a combination of experienced players and newcomers to the sport
from England, Australia, United States, Jordan, Japan, Spain, Canada and New Zealand.
Following the long tradition of international touring, this year the club will travel to matches in Brazil as well as the regular annual tournaments in France and the United States.
The club has an "immersion" phase during the first-year preprogramme courses
in August and September, and everyone is welcome regardless of experience. The official season will
open in October with training sessions in Regents Park and our first fixtures
of the year. The club is open to students, faculty, staff and partners of the London Business School.
Some of the planned events for this year include:
Social Events: Pubgolf, pub nights, volunteering events and much more!
Sponsor and Alumni Networking: Matches and socials and networking receptions are organised with our sponsors, alumni, major companies and professionals.
Christmas Tour: A trip to Brazil for game time and relaxation. Itinerary includes visitng the Amazon, Salvador, Buzios and of course Rio!
MBA Rugby World Cup at Duke: An annual tournament against other MBA rugby clubs. In 2009 we will attempt to go one better and return the winning cup to London!
The London Business School Tournament: Our fifth year of hosting hundreds of players from around the world at our own weekend-long tournament.
